The Republic of Hortania lies a claim over a land plot southbound the territories of Schalamzaar and is the second micronation to join the organization during the administration of Yaroslav Mar. The Kingdom of Danland was unanimously admitted as the thirteenth member of the Antarctic Micronational Union (sixteenth since the organization's establishment), after being voted by delegates of the AMU member states.
The Kingdom of Danland lies a claim over Berkner Island, and will be the third Russophone member of the organization (after the Federal Republic of Lostisland and the Princedom of Aysellant) and the first to join the AMU during the administration of Yaroslav Mar.
From 20 September to 20 October 2014, the Antarctic Micronational Union was conducting an Activity Census, in order to obtain a list of active members of the organization. After the closure of the Census, the results are as following (ordered by date of confirming activity):
The Administrative-General also launches a call for volunteers with designing skills, who would be willing to draw an up-to-date map of Antarctic micronational claims, based on the information submitted by member states during the Activity Census. Interested individuals or organizations are invited to contact the Administrative-General via E-mail [email protected], and will be supplied with all the necessary information collected during the Census. The Union of South London Soviet Socialist Republics took over the Antarctic claims of the former Lewisham Democratic Republic (see old map of the AMU claims), following the request of HE Alex Whitmarsh, the President, as the legal successor of the Democratic Republic.
The Administrative-General of the Antarctic Micronational Union reminds the Esteemed Delegates, that the ongoing Activity Census is due to end on October 20. So far, confirmations of membership have been received from the following micronations:
Throughout the history of the Antarctic Micronational Union, proposals to build a professional website for the organization have been made several times. Some of them were authorized by the leadership, some were guided by pure enthusiasm. For a number of reasons, most of those attempts have not accomplished the desired goal; however, as a result of them, now in the Internet can be found several pages which were meant to serve as the AMU's official website but were never finished, such as http://antarcticunion.wix.com/, http://antarcticmicronationalunion.wordpress.com/ and others. The most well-built of the AMU websites, http://antarcticunion.wordpress.com/, was abandoned in mid-2012.
While all the AMU-related pages were originally set by the organization's members, at the moment control over most of them is lost and information on them no longer updated. We would like to remind, that the only official and up-to-dated website of the Antarctic Micronational Union is http://amunion.weebly.com/, which shall be filled with information within the next weeks, as it becomes available. For any queries regarding the functioning of the organization and the websites, contacts are to be established via E-mail [email protected] or the Contact Form on the website. The Administration of the Antarctic Micronational Union bears no responsibility for the misuse of abandoned websites and consequences of using outdated information presented on them. The Administrative-General communicates the nations interested in joining the Antarctic Micronational Union, that due to the ongoing reforms in the organization, particularly to the Activity Census, no new applications for the AMU membership will be accepted until the census is over and an up-to-date map of claims is drawn. However, in case of any questions arising, the non-members are welcomed to contact the Administrative-General via E-mail.
The Antarctic Micronational Union shall resume accepting membership applications as soon as the map of claims is drawn. In order to optimize the working of the Antarctic Micronational Union, and to develop an up-to-date map of Antarctic micronational claims, the Administrative-General initiates an Activity Census and requests the Distinguished Delegates of member states to send an email to [email protected] before October 20, containing:
